A Board Worth Passing Down.
The best entertaining moments at the cottage happen around something spread on a board — cheese, charcuterie, whatever came back from the farmers market. The board itself is rarely worth remembering. Ours are.
We hand-select from premium Canadian Maple, rich Black Walnut, and exotic patterned Acacia — chosen for grain, weight, and the way they take a finish. Every board is hand-sanded through progressive grits and sealed with multiple coats of organic, food-safe mineral oil and local Haliburton beeswax until the surface has a velvet, showroom quality.
Then we engrave. Your family name, your lake coordinates, a favourite saying, a logo. Deep into the surface, permanent and clean. A piece like this gets used at every gathering for the next thirty years — and every time it comes out, someone asks where it came from.
Studio Standards
Canadian Maple, Black Walnut, and Acacia. Selected individually for grain quality.
Organic mineral oil and local Haliburton beeswax. Multiple hand-applied coats.
Permanent. Will not wash out, wear off, or fade with regular use and oiling.
Every engraving is laid out specifically for your board dimensions before production begins.
Submitting Your Design
Whether it's a family crest, a logo, or handwritten text you want replicated — we need a clean file to produce a clean result. The $25 CAD setup fee covers our review and optimization of your artwork.
Vector Files — Preferred
We accept .svg, .eps, and .ai formats. All text must be converted to outlines before submission. Vector files produce the cleanest possible engraving at any scale.
Raster Images — High Resolution Only
We accept .png and .jpg at a minimum of 300 DPI at final production scale. Images must be pure black and white — no grey, no gradients, no shadows.
A flat $25 CAD artwork setup fee is processed securely via Stripe and covers our review, scaling, and optimization of your files.
